Scholarships and Awards

Opportunities abound for prospective students and students currently enrolled in college to receive financial aid. Student aid comes in many forms including loans, grants, scholarships and tuition waivers for graduate studies. For the academic year 2010-2011 the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design awarded scholarships worth some $271,000 to undergraduate students. Several of these scholarships went to students enrolled in one of the four majors in the Division of Resource Management. The Division also employed several undergraduate students, usually seniors, on research and service projects.

During the Fall 2010 semester, twenty Division of Resource Management graduate students were employed as graduate research assistants (GRA). In addition to a salary, a GRA receives a full tuition waiver. In most of the recent years, at least one GRA received a supplemental fellowship of $1,000. GRA benefits include health coverage. An additional number of graduate students were employed on an hourly basis and some received a partial tuition waiver.
